South Australian Croatian Community Biographies Project

The South Australian Croatian Community Biographies Project is being introduced in phases as part of the 75th anniversary of The Croatian Club Adelaide.

The official launch of this project will take place at 8:00pm on Friday, 1 August 2025, at The Croatian Club Adelaide.

The initial phase, presented during the Croatian History Festival Adelaide 2025, features selected biographies, predominantly of Croatian Club Founders, Office Bearers from the Club’s main committee (1950 and 2025) and notable Croatian clergy and religious sisters who contributed to community life.

Not all individuals from this period are included in the first phase just yet, as the project is being rolled out gradually. Some biographies will appear in the next stage as part of a broader presentation, while others are either unavailable or yet to be identified. This phase offers a representative glimpse into the leadership and service that helped shape the Club across the decades.

Later this year, the project will expand to include selected community contributors and additional religious figures whose efforts have enriched both the South Australian Croatian community and broader South Australian society.

The project aims to reflect our shared history and honour those who have played meaningful roles in community life.
