To enhance accessibility to the Croatian History Room Archive, a dedicated archive website is set to launch in July 2025, providing an online platform for exploring historical materials and community records. Further details will be updated as they become available.
The Croatian History Room Archive, located at The Croatian Club Adelaide in a small room adjacent to the library, serves as a vital repository for preserving the community’s cultural and historical heritage. Officially launched as the Croatian History Room in November 2021 by the Croatian Ambassador to Australia, the archive is managed by the Croatian History Group (South Australia), a sub-group of the Croatian Community Council of South Australia.
With a steady influx of historical materials, volunteers are needed to carefully review, sort, scan, catalogue, and store records that support exhibitions, publications, and projects for the Croatian History Festival Adelaide 2025. The archive also encourages Croatian clubs and associations across South Australia, to consolidate and preserve their own historical records, fostering a broader effort to safeguard Croatian community heritage.
