Following opening remarks by Croatian Club Adelaide President Marijan Čubelić, Branimir Šprajcer spoke on behalf of the Festival Steering Committee, sharing key updates on the new Croatian History Festival website and acknowledging the collective efforts of the steering committee and other contributors in bringing the project to life.

Honouring Community Legacy

Dr Vesna Drapač, Associate Professor of History and member of the Festival Steering Committee, spoke about the vital role Croatian clubs continue to play in community life, highlighting the significance of ongoing activities and milestone anniversaries such as the Croatian Club’s 75th.

Launching the Festival Journey

The Croatian Consul General from Melbourne, Joseph Petrić, addressed the gathering, noting that the local Croatian History Group had been active since 2018 and was now marking a major milestone with the formal launch of the Festival website. The event concluded with a small informal celebration, kindly hosted by The Croatian Club Adelaide.
